What we are about

The KZNFFA engages at various levels with the fly fishing community of KwaZulu Natal.
Anglers are invited to register for the annual season of organised fishing sessions and social fly fishing interaction,
which runs from August through to July the following year.

Fishing both rivers and still waters around our beautiful province, all fishing is done on a catch and release basis,
using barbless hooks to ensure the safe release of the fish, and protection of the environment.

On the representative side, teams are selected each year from the Provincial ranking lists,
and by our Selection Committee, to participate in the SAFFA Youth, Senior ( A & B Nationals ),
Masters and Ladies National Events.
These events are hosted on a rotational basis by different affiliated Provinces in South Africa.
This offers a great opportunity for those who enjoy the challenge to fish as part of a team,
to experience various waters around the country.

KZNFFA also presents various workshops offered by National team anglers and coaches, as well as social fishing days during the year.
We're really just a bunch of awesome guys and gals who share a passion for fish chasing our fly.
We love that we get to head out into the pristine environments of KZN and abroad, and have a lekker time with our mates,
learning and honing our craft along the way.

What could be better.
